Comments Have Disappeared :(

Hello my lovelies. I have had a few of my readers ask if I've deleted comments and the answer is NO. Unfortunately, my comments have disappeared after I switched around to a new domain. I'm working on resolving the issue but for now please continue to leave comments and email me at if you have any problems.

Gareth Pugh Fall 2010

I could not take my eyes off Gareth Pugh's Fall 2010 collection. I am so utterly in love with his line. Boys and girls, I think Pugh just took leather to a whole other level. I could give you some elaborate rant on what this reminds me of, but I think the most obvious images that will come to mind for most people is The Matrix. This is futuristic darkness at its best. What I would do for one of those pieces!
By the way, to make it easier on your eyes I put the photographs of my favourite looks in 3 pieces collages.

BOYS, there's something for you too.

Walk It Out Baby - Even Models Fall!

My sister, Abby, sent me this link today and although it's from an old episode of Fashion Television I still want everyone to see it. Not only was I smiling because of this video, it also made me feel a lot better about myself. It makes you realize that even women who are trained to walk in heels slip too. From what I remember, the last time I tripped in heels was when I graduated from elementary school. The floor was wet for some reason and I slipped, on my knees and hands, sort of like how my fellow Canadian, Jessica Stam, does in the video below. Only the back of the room, (and the entire school faculty) saw me fall but they all gasped loud enough to make the whole room wonder what happened. I was utterly embarrassed and I was actually on my way to hand my mother a rose before I got back to my seat. Luckily, my graduate hat stayed on my head because I had pinned it into my! Then, of course, my teacher gets on the mic after my ungraceful descent onto the ground and sa…

Hermès Fall 2010 - Paris Fashion Week

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I'm back. Hello everyone, I know I've been away for a while but thankfully I got through those stressful few weeks and I'm going to start blogging again. Now I mentioned I would post my favourites from New York Fashion Week, which happened last month, but I'll get to that in later posts. For now I'll focus onHermèsFall 2010 collection.

Jean Paul Gaultier always impresses me and this time was no exception. I mean, can we say LEATHER? It's everywhere, and he manages to make it look sophisticated and powerful, without making women look like dominatrices. The collection is androgyny at its best with beautifully tailored coats and suits, paired with bowler hats and umbrella's. The looks he presented were very reminscent of  British men's fashion in the late 1800s early 1900s. Of course some of the pieces were a bit odd but overall I enjoyed the collection and the head to toe trench coat is to die for! Take a look at some of my favourites.

All Nighter Tunes

I just finished my first essay although I still have to reference, cite properly, edit, and incorporate some data. I've now moved on to the data collection for my second essay and I've been at it for a few hours now. Sigh, I'm definitely not getting sleep for the next 48 hours. I've got work tonight and I need to have this essay done before it so that I can start studying for my test. DEAAAAAAAAAAAAAATH.
Since I'm pulling an all nighter I decided to listen to some music to keep me awake. I've been listening to Mario constantly so I thought I'd put up one of my favourite songs. I absolutely hate the lyrics of this song because it speaks about Mario being unable to stay faithful so he lies to his girlfriend and messes around on the side. Seeing that I've been through a relationship where I dealt with that kind of bullshit, I'll never enjoy these lyrics. I understand he's not exactly advocating infidelity but the song relays the message that he'…

Lady Gaga ft Beyonce - Telephone

Okay, I'm not a Lady Gaga fan what so ever, or a Beyonce fan for that fact. Yet, I know everyone anticipates Lady Gaga's videos, especially any collabos with Beyonce. The music video for Telephone was just released and I'm seriously confused as to what the hell is going on half the time. On top of that, I was so shocked at the amount of blatant advertising going on in the video. Virgin Mobile and Plenty of Fish product placements are everywhere and those aren't the only items in this video! I mean, music videos are a part of marketing but it's usually directed solely at selling the celebrities in the videos rather than third party products. Anyway, Beyonce just look so out of place and awkward, her acting was just plain weird and Lady Gaga completely outshined her!
Of course there's crazy fashion every where. I love a lot of the styling in this video but at the same time I just get bored with her over-the-top style. It seems more forced for media attention than…

French Revue de Modes 16th Issue - 12 Covers for 12 Models

Talk about variety! 12 covers for one issue? That's right! For French Revue de Modes 16th Issue, the amazing photographer, Thierry Legoues, captured the most beautiful pictures of some of today's top models. Everything about these images is perfection, from the styling, to the makeup, to the actual shot itself. These covers are definitely eye catching to say the least. Theirry Legoues is one of my favourite photographers and he has some extremely fascinating images. If this is your first time seeing his work, you better prepare yourself because some of his other photos will blow you away. Trust me on this.

Just in case your wondering, I'll list the names of the models in the order that I post their photos on the blog but you can also find their names on the images themselves. The models are Ranya Mordanova, Hannah Holman, Coco Rocha,  Yulia Vasiltsova,  Anna de Rijk, Chanel Iman, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Lyndsey Scott, Laura Blokhina, Tao Okamoto, andEmily DiDonato.

I hope that …
